Alfonso Cuaron: 1st Latino Best Director Oscar winner

Film Director, Alfonso Cuaron is now on top of the Hollywood film world. This past Sunday evening, Cuaron became the first Latino filmmaker to win the Oscar at the 86th Academy Awards for the sci-fi film, Gravity. The prestigious award was also up for grabs by fellow nominees David O. Russell, Alexander Payne, Steve McQueen and Martin Scorsese.

We can expect more Latino filmmakers like Alfonso Cuaron leading us to success in Hollywood.

Latino Power is in 'Instructions Not Included'

According to FORBES.com, This week’s box office chart has a third-place film that, if you’re white and speak English, you probably didn’t even know existed. Instructions Not Included, about a playboy who find himself saddled with a baby and them embraces fatherhood, earned $8 million bringing the movie’s box office total to $20 million.

 

 

 

 

LATINO MOVIE OF THE MONTH - FULL MOVIE 8/2013

This month's Latino movie is MI VIDA LOCA (MY CRAZY LIFE). This movie is for my beautiful Latina women and this film is definitely NOT a chick flick.

Now, I seen this movie only once when it premiered back in '93 and honestly I totally forgot the plot of the story and names of the characters. That's why, I decided to make this film the "Movie of the Month" because I want to watch again and I will watch it tonight. 

So, there's no spoiler alert for me to write up and I hope you get to watch this film and write your review in the comment section.

Watch BLOOD IN BLOOD OUT movie in FULL HD

Blood In Blood Out is great Latino film to watch.  Some say it's the Spanish version of Boyz in da Hood and some say "American Me" is a better film. However, both films have  good story-telling and a strong message to convey. But Blood In Blood Out is a 3-hour long film and worth watching ever second of it.
