Guillermo Arriaga presents "Words with Gods" at Chicago Festival

Mexican director and screenwriter Guillermo Arriaga presents "Words with Gods" at the 50th Chicago International Film Festival, a film created to spark among the public "a critical and respectful dialogue on the meaning of religion and God or gods."

"As children, we were always told we couldn't talk at the table about religion, sex, politics or drugs," Arriaga told Efe Friday in a telephone interview.

"But those ideas are behind us - now we can't just fight over them but must find points in common so that no one is rejected or killed for his religion, sexual preference or politics," he said.

In his opinion, "we have to get to know each other better and start a dialogue," and with this in mind, the idea of a film anthology came to him three years that subsequently brought together nine directors and more than 1,000 people. READ MORE.
